Patchwork Quilt Projects from The Cotton Patch

These days most patchwork fabric manufacturers print new collections in a single print run. The pre-production designs are presented to retailers and, when all the orders are received, the manufacturer decides how much fabric to print (additional print runs do happen, but are rare). Often, along with the new fabric designs, there are quilts and other projects to show the fabrics at their best and how they work as a collection. Buying fabric is a tricky (but enjoyable!) task given that we need to consider it will be a one-off purchase. When it comes to kitting quilts, this task is far more difficult, mostly because the fabric usage can vary hugely. For example, there may be a large quantity of a particular fabric used for the background or border, so we don’t try to double-guess which quilts might be popular. That is the purpose of this catalogue: for you to see what is coming in the future and order kits that may be unavailable when the fabric is released. “Cut to Order” kits are available now, and are cut from current stock, but there may be a delay if we are waiting for restocks. As you look through this catalogue, if you like a particular kit you can click through to our website to order or pre-order it. Many of these collections are presented months in advance of their release so you are never charged for a pre-order kit until it is cut and ready to despatch to you. Please note that the release dates are approximate: collections can be delayed, for many reasons, beyond the anticipated date. Please don’t order a kit if you need it for a specific date!
